Home power/Solar/off grid use 24V
Most of the home power systems are either 24V or 48V, and trucks use 24V. Again, higher voltage means smaller conductors, and regulations in many countries are set up to make it legal for anyone at all to wire a 24V charger to a battery without a permit (the limit is 30V or so). So I think there's a good argument for 24V, or for silly laptop chargers perhaps 28V.
