The First ETI discovered?

Hello,

The Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence has finally yielded
results. The first ETI was discovered not from any dish but
from Pi. There are several prime number oddities in pi that
prove the existence of an advanced ETI namely GodA or ETI-A.
Pi is the most popular universal constant and therefore all
intelligent life in the universe can become aware of its
significance.

pi= 3.14159…
why the 3_ 4_ 5 Pythagorean triplet?

pi= 3.14159…
why are 31-41-59 prime numbers?

There is more at www.artmusicdance.com/vaspi/proof.htm
Interesting commentary. As

Interesting commentary. As far as I'm concerned, I'd say I don't care if they look - as long as public money doesn't fund them. If private donors want to look for ET, hey, power to them, it's the economy at work providing people with jobs.

SETI is now part of the nostalgia for the future

Personal jets, interplanetary rockets, ubiquitous nuclear power... and now the excitement of a successful SETI is starting to gain this patina of somewhat pathetic and naive depiction of a future that never was.

Sorry, SETI, ET not phoning

Yesterday I attended Seth Shostak’s standard talk about the work at the SETI institute. I know others from the institute such as Frank Drake and Jill Tarter who inspired the Jodi Foster character in the movie Contact. I wanted to see what was new. (Once, by the way, I went on an eclipse cruise where Drake and Tarter were passengers. On a dive boat, somebody talked about the movie Contact, so I told them that Tarter was on the ship, and she had inspired the character. The woman was amazed and asked, “You mean she met an extraterrestrial?”)

I have a lot of sympathy for this cause, for the search is important and the payoff extremely so. But I must report a serious lack of optimism. Read on to find out why…
