Cruise targeting pedestrians?
There's an interesting Twitter video of a bad interaction between a Cruise car and some pedestrians. The comment section at Boing Boing is interesting, showing a cross section of internaut views on the subject, with a clear majority against the cars.

Pedestrians in crosswalk
I had seen that video. It did nothing wrong with the stop sign. As far as I can tell the pedestrians on the other side stopped in the crosswalk (to look at the Cruise, I am guessing) and it waited for them to move again then went behind them in the crosswalk (as you are supposed to do.)
It's not obvious what it could do better here. It could wait until they are fully clear of the right side of the crosswalk, but that is not what humans would do and would get you honked, though it would be legal. Finding the best balance between aggression and caution is not easy.
